Almost Time for Some Christmas!

Hey everyone, Christmas is just about upon us! Only two days left! Sherri and Cooper came up to my work today for our Christmas Lunch Party and we had a great time. The girls up at work all got Cooper some awesome gifts! We got awesome clothes (embroidered baby scrubs that say Dr. Cooper!, cowboy boots from Dr. Day, camo stuff with Cooper's name, etc.!) Anyhow, just a quick note before we head out tomorrow morning for the trip to KS for Cooper's 1st Christmas. Should be fun loading up the car with our 4 week old and two yorkies....I'm sure we are in for a quiet trip up! Merry Christmas to all!

Cooper's first trip outside in the stroller! Last Friday was great down here (77 degrees!)

I've got my hands full!

First time using the Baby Carrier, I can already tell Daddy's gonna love this one!

Gotta love it!

3 Weeks Old!!!

It is amazing that three weeks have already passed since Cooper graced us with his presence! He is still doing great and growing by the minute. We took him to the doc this past friday and he weighed in at 8lb 11 oz, which is closer to his birthweight, and a healthy weight gain according to the doc. The pediatrician also said that he is probably big enough that, should we be so blessed, Cooper could sleep through the night and not have to be awakened! We'll keep everyone posted on that subject, but we are not holding our breath right now! As for an update on baby momma, Sherri was the unlucky recipient of a fun case of mastitis last week. Last monday morning at 5am, she woke up with a fever of 101.7! Apparently mastitis includes the fever, flu-like symptoms, and a pounding headache...all of which did not go away until Thursday! Thanks to some TLC from the grandparents last week she got better and is feeling 100% better now! And we are now in preparation for Cooper's first trip to Kansas! We are hoping to make the 8 hour trip with our 4-week-old on Christmas Eve! Should be fun times I'm sure. Hope everyone has a great Christmas if we don't talk to you before then!

He is starting to like the swing a little better each day!

Dancing away in the living room! This is one of mom's favorite method's of calming a cranky Cooper!

All us guys just hangin out!

Cooper is getting his first REAL bath, submerged in water! Such fun! I think he likes it!

Madison was so excited to hold "her" baby! I think Cooper better watch out, the older women are already after him!

Lacey is such a natural!

Gotta love those lazy mornings!

Patiently awaiting Santa Claus!

Are you ready for some Football!

We are just about to Cooper's two week anniversary on this earth!! He has been an absolute blessing and is just growing more and more everyday. He likes to try and hold his head up on his own and can do so for quite awhile now, which is pretty impressive. I think he is working his neck and shoulders out so he can play for the Cowboys someday! He sure got pretty pumped up when he got to wear his cowboy's outfit today! Just thought we would share some pics with everyone of a typical Sunday at the Herrman House! Ha! Being that this is only the second Sunday we've got to have with him I would hardly call it typical! We took him to the hospital for some follow-up blood work (routine) on Friday and he did great. Our next visit is to the pediatrician on this coming Friday morning and we are looking forward to seeing how much he weighs, he has been eating well since his discharge weight of 8 lb 3 ozs. Happy Sunday everyone and have a good week!

Here is a pic from Colby's camera phone on delivery day...looks like an angel doesn't he!

Go Cowboys! Cooper is so enthusiastic, its hard to get him to settle down during games!

The Herrman's on Gameday!

Cooper is showing Mom how to signal touchdown!

His hair is starting to look lighter everyday....some might say strawberry-blonde?

It's beginning to look like Christmas

Wow, how the time flies when your having fun! Cooper is now a week and 3 days old! To update everyone as usual, he is doing great! He is feeding good and hopefully gaining back some of his lost weight after leaving the hospital. As far as sleeping goes, he is definitely a fan! He just doesn't like mom and dad to get too comfortable ever, as we obviously signed up to be his personal servants! We are getting anywhere from 3.5 to 6 hours of sleep at night, interrupted of course! We had a great Thanksgiving last week and then followed that up with some Christmas decorating this past weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Herrman. Here are some of the newest pics and some where you can see his face better...he is a handsome devil in our opinions!

Here is Tigger after his bath!

I had to concentrate, these small humans are hard to hold when wet!

No teeth yet, thanks for letting Dad take a look! He is already so cooperative!

We just had to drag him away from his bath, you can see he was so happy to be here!

Cooper wanted to thank everyone for thinking of him!

Yeah, Christmas decorations!

The Start of Something Great!

Hi everyone!....Cooper has made his grand entrance!!!! Here is the story of Cooper.......We went to the hospital Sunday night at 9 to check in. After some meds during the night Sherri was at a 3 by 8 o'clock the next morning and the doc broke her water. After that things sped up and she started having some really hard contractions for the next hour which is when she got introduced to a wonderful doc that gave her the epidural! What a life saver! Things kept moving along very well and she was to a 6 by 11:30 and then to a 9.5 by 1 o'clock! Shortly after that the pushing started around 2:15, and then at 2:39 pm Cooper made his entrance into the world! It was absolutely amazing to see him come out...and with so much hair! Having remembered that I was pretty slick on top when I was born and heard stories that Sherri had no locks of hair until the ripe age of 4, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that our son was a bushy-haired baby! I can't pinpoint the color...at first under the heating light we saw a definite red tint, and the doctor and nurses said red, but he definitely could be considered a dirty blond too. We'll just have to see! Anyhow, Sherri gave birth to a big boy at 8 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches! He looks totally perfect and is perfectly healthy, which is such a blessing! We had several visitors to the hospital, and it was fun seeing everyone. Thanks to everyone that came and for everybody's thoughts and prayers! We got to come home on Wednesday afternoon and it feels great to be here! There is just something about being able to shower that just brings a smile to your face, you know! It is also great having grandparents around that love to help out! All of them have been such a big help and have made things a lot easier. Well, there are certainly more pics to come. Hope that every has a wonderful Turkey Day, I know that we have a LOT to be thankful for!

Our last pic at home before the arrival!
