The Results are In....He's BIG!

Well, last Friday we took Cooper to the pediatrician for his 4 month shots...good times! He did really well and only cried right after they gave him the shots for like 10 seconds and then he was alright. I think it just scared him more than anything...He's such a tough guy. We did find out some new stats on his size while we were there: He weighed in at a whopping 15 lbs 10 oz, was 26 inches long, and I can't remember the measurement for his head....but it was big too! Anywho, according to their charts that puts Cooper in the 95 percentile for length and the 85% overall! We always thought that he looked long, I guess we were right! The doc also said that he was probably ready for some solid beginning foods, so we went out and bought some tasty squash, sweet potato, mushy foods, etc! So far he has tried the sweet potato and squash and LOVES them! Here are some pics from his 1st St. Patrick's Day and a couple others!

Mmmmm, full belly!

Long and Tired!

I think Cooper wants a sip of some Green Beer!

We think he looks good in green!

4 Months Old!!!! Time Really Does Fly!

It's hard to believe that 4 months ago today we were in the hospital welcoming Cooper into the world! Time has went really fast. Well, we might have gotten ahead of ourselves with the last posting. I just about titled this post as "Where did our Friend SLEEP go?" About a week ago Cooper decided that sleeping thru the night was just not for him anymore! He has started talking in his sleep....very loudly....and we even think he has started having nightmares. He has woke us up screaming bloody murder and when we get to him it looks like he is screaming in his sleep...very strange! We just hope this doesn't last for a long time, because we have had a few sleepless nights in the past week! Other than that everything is going great. He is healthy and happy all day long, which is all we can ask for. We head back to the pediatrician on Friday for round II of the shots (fun times) so hopefully that will all go as well as last time. Here are the pics!

Sleep....such a beautiful thing!

Wow, it has been awhile since last updating the blog...sorry about that everyone! Things have been going really good lately. Cooper is now over 3 1/2 months old (old man status) and according to my calculations on the scale is now around 14.5 lbs or a little over, so he is growing like a weed! He is getting stronger everyday too. He is holding his head up like a grown-up and just looking around all over the place. We are also able to let him get in his jumparoo and move around, which is pretty entertaining for us and him! Per the title of this blog, we are also getting more sleep these days....one word....AWESOME!!! To date Cooper is sleeping an average of 8-9 hours at night, and two days ago he went 12 hours between his nighttime feeding and waking up the next morning! We may only get up once in awhile to put in a pacifier or change a diaper, but nighttime is definitely getting better! Yes, we DO consider ourselves extremely fortunate with his new-found sleeping habits! Well, on to the pictures and there are a lot!

Yeah, the Jumparoo!
He can bounce and get his toes to touch now, pretty funny!
